I would have asked before starting on the package but I figured since it was nine months since you submitted your ITP and you had not posted any updates or reasons why it was taking so long, it was unlikely that you were actively working on it. Even though my package is not needed, building it wasn't a complete waste of time for me: it gave me an opportunity to get familiar with the current Debian Policy and debhelper. Cheers, Dennis
