Hi Federico,
I was asked last year to install Natural Docs on my server, so I
certainly wouldn't mind if it were included into Debian.
At the time, I found that Krzysztof Krzyzaniak had already packaged it
for himself, so I snatched his copy and installed it. I haven't heard
any complaints since, so it appears to work fine.
Strangely enough, I can't find a trace of it on Google now, so I'm
attaching a copy of it. I'm sure Krzysztof will let you know if he's
come up with something new since then. (As you can see, it's nothing
complicated, but it might just save you some boring cut-and-paste.)
If I may be so bold as to offer some suggestions, I'd propose moving the
following out of the ND directory:
* Help and Info -> /usr/share/doc. I couldn't grep any reference to
these elsewhere in ND, so this shouldn't break anything. And it
would make the documentation available where people would be looking
for it.
* Modules/NaturalDocs -> /usr/share/perl5. Not a big deal, but it
would make all modules available for use in case they ever contain
something useful. (I was about to say that it would make also them
perldoc-able, but they all obviously use ND instead of POD.) The
main script merely adds that directory to @INC beforehand, so it'll
find its modules one way or another.
* Config -> /etc, as both files are apparently meant to be conffiles.
Here, a symlink would be required for the script to still be able to
find its configuration.
Of course, feel free to ignore my rambling if you would rather do things
differently. I'm merely picking at the things that bothered me when I
first installed this package. :)
