Most of the time «-i18n» is the wrong names for those packages that are actually localization ones, which include translations and such. Internationalization is the action of preparing a software to be localized by translation teams for example.Agreed. This package must be named -l10nApologies for the over-brief description of the package. My fault - I guess I was too eager to get on with the packaging! I'll fix that later. This package provides software components that can be used to localise Plexus, rather than the localisations themselves. In that case is i18n right?
Not entirely. plexus-i18n is a component to support internationalization of applications using Plexus.
The long description should also be reworked. "Required for maven2 packaging" tells nothing about the package. There should be a paragraph explaining what Plexus is and another adding that "This package includes localization data For Plexus".
I suggest using "Plexus I18n is a set of Plexus-components supporting internationalization of Plexus-based applications.". Maven 2 is an example of an application using -i18n.
