Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Greetings,

I intend to package PySparse, which is a sparse linear algebra extension
for Python by Roman Geus. I downloaded version 0.34.032 (June 22, 2005)
from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pysparse/

I may need help with a couple of things. First, this is my first python
package, and I am using python-numeric as a guide, which has many of the
same dependencies as pysparse, but will likely run into trouble and need
help along the way.

Second, I may need some advice on the license:

THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT
(INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE
OF THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

I believe this allows redistribution by Debian, but can't tell whether
this restricts this package to non-free.

Thank you,
-Adam
