it seems that they have fixed up some GLX functions: we are working with
freesurfer (brain imaging software) and xf4vnc is the one which is used
at Harward without problems. On our boxes we use vnc4server (ie realvnc)
and freesurfer 3D plotting canvas in them is non functional and it spits
out errors like (not all tools spit out that error but all 3D plotting
is nonfunctional)
