ripdvd is a free, simple to use, console-based dvd ripper. This
simple bash script
allows conversion of a dvd movie into an avi file without any

 * automatic fetching of the movie information (title, available
languages, ...) ;
 * preview of the encoded movie ;

ripdvd depends on mencoder, lame and other packages which aren't
included in Debian.
