Bug#406495: ITP: odt2txt -- simple converter from OpenDocument Text to plain text
Hi Charles!

Thanks for the explanation on the difference between o3read and odt2txt.
You are welcome.
For the integration with mutt, I think that it needs at least a mime
entry similar to the one of antiword:
application/msword; /usr/bin/antiword %s; copiousoutput; description="Microsoft Word Text"; nametemplate=%s.doc; priority=0
I also found this in my .muttrc:
auto_view text/html application/msword application/x-gettext application/x-gunzip
Good to learn this :-)
I can try to do similar autoviewing with early versions of your package
if you are not a mutt user. It would be really great (at least for me)
to have this working. I find the antiword trick very convenient, as the
converted message is appended in the quoted reply, and it is sort of
frustrating to lose this convenience when I convince my contacts to
migrate to OpenOffice...
If you want to take a look at the package, you can get the files here:
http://people.debian.org/~naoliv/misc/odt2txt/
It's the same version that is awaiting on the NEW queue.
Best regards,
Nelson
