Bug#402553: O -- pyslide - Tiny but powerful program to make animated presentations
Package: wnpp
I'm orphaning pyslide. It is a nice tool, but I don't use it anymore.
The package is in a good state and trivial, which makes it ideal for a
New Maintainer with basic python knowledge (upstream disapeared, you
need to jump into that too). If a non-DD maintainer considers to adopt
it, I of course offer to keep sponsoring it.
If nobody adopts pyslide within two weeks, I'm going to ask for its removal.
Here is some more information about the package:
Package: pyslide
Architecture: any
Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, ${python:Depends}, python-pygame, python-xml
Suggests: python-imaging
Description: Tiny but powerful program to make animated presentations
Pyslide allows you to make presentations with text, images and shapes,
loads different fonts from TTF files, animate them and make a variety
of alpha effects.
.
There is a brief description of the syntax in the README file and some
examples in the distribution, where all the features are shown.
.
It is written in Python and uses SDL (through pygame), the
presentations are created in an XML file and can be compiled into
Python code.
.
You need the Python Image Library to export the presentation to static
web pages.
Thanks,
Daniel
