Might also be worth asking on debian-legal@lists.debian.org
I thought flickrfs was licensed under GPL v2 though?
flickrfs is licensed under GPL v2 but flickrapi.py is licensed under
Creative Commons license http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/
That leaves several options then:
- Ask upstream to re-license flickrapi.py under some other more
clearly DFSG license.
- Ask for clarification on the CC-by-2.5 licenses from debian-legal
(the document I referred to earlier talks about 2.0)
- Split the source into a contrib package and a non-free package.
Any thoughts?
Alan
