Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Michael Biebl <biebl@teco.edu> * Package name : gnome-mount Version : 0.4 Upstream Author : David Zeuthen <davidz@redhat.com> * URL : http://people.freedesktop.org/~david/dist/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C Description : wrapper for (un)mounting and ejecting storage devices The gnome-mount package contains programs for mounting, unmounting and ejecting storage devices. The goal for gnome-mount is to get the appropriate Gnome software (such as gnome-volume-manager and Gnome-VFS) to use his method instead of invoking mount/umount/eject or direct HAL invoking methods. . All the gnome-mount programs utilize the methods on HAL and as such run unprivileged. The rationale for gnome-mount is to have a centralized place (in GConf) where settings (e.g. mount options and mount locations) are maintained. It allows for per user, per drive and per volume settings. The package will be part of the Debian Utopia project and is available from http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-utopia -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (300, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-rc6 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
