* Package name    : nifticlib
  Version         : 0.3
  Upstream Author : NIfTI Data Format Working Group
* URL             : http://niftilib.sourceforge.net/

  Programming Lang: C
  Description : IO libraries for the NIfTI-1 data format

Niftilib is a set of i/o libraries for reading and writing files in the
NIfTI-1 data format. NIfTI-1 is a binary file format for storing
medical image data, e.g. magnetic resonance image (MRI) and functional MRI
(fMRI) brain images.

The NIfTI format is supported by AFNI, FSL, SPM and others.

NIfTI-1 is adapted from the widely used ANALYZE 7.5 file format in the
hope that older non-NIfTI-aware software that uses the ANALYZE 7.5
format will still be compatible with NIfTI-1.

Please note, that while the authors have place this software in the public
domain, some files in the tarball contain a copyright statement. This
has to be clarified.

I have added support for shared libraries to the package. I'd be glad
about feedback concerning the packaging as this is my first attempt of a
shared library package.

Cheers,

Michael

Closing it manually now.
