Bug#386960: TAG: searchMonkey -- search files using regular expressions aiming to replace find/grep tools

Package: wnpp
Severity: RFP
Version: 0.6.0
Upstream Author: Adam Cottrell <cottrela@users.sourceforge.net>
URL: http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/searchmonkey
License: LGPL

searchMonkey is a light-weight Gtk application that aims to replace the cumbersome find/grep with a slick user interface that quickly provides a mark-up showing locations and quantity of text matches.
The goal is to provide a simple to use and accessible search tool for end-users, and software developers alike.

The latest source code is available from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=175143 (currently version 0.6.0).
All of the software is under the LGPL - inherited from GTK, and as I am the only author there are no other copyright issues.

This project has been adoped by Guru (SuSe), ATrpms (Fedora), FreshPorts (FreeBSD), and Dyne:Bolic already, and I would love to see it packaged for Debian users.

If there is anything I can do to make the packaging smoother, let me know, and I'll be more than happy to help.

Kind regards,
Adam
