Description : module for Apache 1.3.x that interfaces with libgeoip

According to the MaxMind page:

mod_geoip looks up the IP address of the client end user. [...] For
the country database, mod_geoip sets two environment variables,
GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE and GEOIP_COUNTRY_NAME. [...] It also sets two
entries in Apache's notes table with the same names as above.

libgeoip is already in Sarge.

I have been using mod_geoip for about five months on a fairly well-known
and rather busy site. I also have a preliminary libapache-mod-geoip
Debian package; anyone who wants to package mod_geoip is welcome to a
copy of what I have so far.
