I find the ability to generate a graphical representation of the harvested data to be indeed lanmap's greatest asset. I don't know of any other program, already packaged for Debian, that does that. Should the similarities between PADS and lanmap prevent the latter from being packaged for Debian ? I understand they both rely on passive network monitoring to produce info, but I still don't see that as an obstacle to packaging lanmap in Debian.
