Bug#330125: status of toolchain-source?

Hi all,

First I must appologize for my tardiness! I've been working on the
package on and off for the last months, but work and holidays have
taken a lot of my time :-(

I have come so far that I've got the latest (I think) versions
of binutil, gcc and gdb in the package. I'm having some trouble
building gcc which I think I've tracked down to a misconfiguration
of the temporary directories (I've got both a m68k-linux and a
m68k-linux-gnu directory under the debian/tmp/usr directory) and
the build fails during the final stages of the debuild process.
It breaks down just after running (while processing
"$(binary_stamp)-libgcc" in binary-libgcc-cross.mk):

  /usr/bin/make -f debian/rules2 binary

I'm looking into that problem as I write this and will hopefully
be able to test build all supported targets in the near future.
Once I get toolchain-source to build a toolchain for the supported
(linux) targets I'll get back to you for help with further testing
(I can only test build on a sparc64 machine) and upload.

Best wishes to you all and may you have a merry new year!
/Daniel Widenfalk

Hi,
I've handed over this package into the hands of Daniel Widenfalk. Any
progress Daniel?

Hi,

what are your current plans involving this package? At present, the
