Hello, I'm interested in this package (in pymedia package too). I'm not yet a Debian developer but i have a sponsor for this one. I will release a package as soon as i can. I have sent a mail to the upstream developper (an upstream unofficialy debian package already exists) and it doesn't bother him at all that somebody else is packaging pyme.
