given that gnome has its own section you can leave the package name as-is,
unfortunately there is no consensus but I think gnome-sensors-applet is just
fine as it doesn't screw 80-columns terminals (see
http://lists.debian.org/debian-gtk-gnome/2003/07/msg00176.html )

anyhow, I'm ready for the sponsorship if you don't have fix anything important
(also please close your ITP in the changelog 308437)
I don't know if #190901 is somewhat related to this package, bug CC'ed. (Sven:
we are talking about sensors-applet.sf.net, maybe you are interested as you
RFP'ed for a program like this?)
