Yes, but they are outdated. You can find them in the samba-doc package.

I believe is better to have an independent package, mainly because there are
two different upstream sources (they are not in sync) and generating it from
the samba source adds complexity to an already complex package.
Anyway, if somebody thinks I'm wrong please tell me.
