Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
* Package name : loop-aes-utils
Version : 2.11z
Upstream Author : Andries Brouwer <aeb@cwi.nl>, Jari Ruusu, others
* URL : ftp://ftp.cwi.nl/pub/aeb/util-linux/
http://loop-aes.sourceforge.net/
* License : BSD, GPL
Description : Tools for mounting and manipulating encrypted filesystems
This package provides the mount(8), umount(8), swapon(8),
swapoff(8), and losetup(8) commands from util-linux. They are
patched to support different implementations of the encrypted
loopback kernel drivers.
.
These commands are known to work with
* loop-aes
* cryptoloop (stock 2.6 kernels)
* cryptoapi (kerneli).
Rationale for packaging: loop-aes does not work with the util-linux mount
package in Debian. This package has Jari Ruusu's merged crypto patch
applied with the aim of testing and stabilizing it and then submitting
it for inclusion upstream and/or in Debian util-linux.
I'm also looking for a sponsor for this package. Until it's uploaded to
the archive you can find the package here or on my website;
