Bug#283434: ITP: maui -- Scheduler for PBS-based and other cluster environments
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
* Package name : maui
Version : x.y.z
Upstream Author : ClusterResources <info@clusterresources.com>
* URL : http://www.clusterresources.com/products/maui
* License : non-free
Description : Scheduler for PBS-based and other cluster environments
Maui substitutes the the schedulers of cluster environments
(Sun Grid Engine, PBS, LoadLeveler) with its own.
The license is an issue. It is called "Moab Scheduling System - End
User Open Source License", allowing the redistribution only via
non-commercial entities. Any modification distributed must first be
acknowledged by upstream.
Nevertheless, MAUI is mainstream among the administrators of cluster
environments. One often finds it in the company of cluster environment
Torque, for which an inofficial Debian packages is available via
Google.
I created an initial package for Maui. While I am yet waiting for an
acknowledgement that it is ok to put the package on the web, I' happily
forward the .diff.gz to anybody interested.
