Bug#278923: update on status of nagios packages

Hi,

Can we get an update on the status of the packages for nagios? We (my
work) are in the process of deploying it, based on the old packages. I'd
like to get an idea of what differences there are going to be in the new
packages, when they might arrive, and if they will support some form of
performance data.
