Subject: net: nis-utils

Package: net
Version: 20000320
Severity: wishlist

We would like to have NIS+ support (package: nis-utils) in debian.
We are not sure if this is the right place to direct this wish. If not please
forward this message to the appropiate address.
We already submitted a wishlist to base (BUG#59988) and they accepted to
include the necessary PAM and nameservice configuration stuff.

Thanks in advance
  Stefan

Given that:
- This RFP is > 4y old;
- The software is not maintained anymore upstream;
I am closing this request.

People needing this are no worse off than they are now - nothing prevents
them from installing from source. But I doubt anyone who has not yet
installed it will still need this, these days.

Regards,

Filip
