No, it doesn't use cloop; I wanted to make it as easy as possible to
work with vanilla kernels, so the primary filesystem is the ISO9660
filesystem on the CD.

It will shortly support mkzftree, so that compressed ISO9660 filesystems
can  be used with kernels that support that.

I'm not very familiar with cloop; does it provide some advantage that
the above doesn't?

Super compression, very fast speeds.

cramfs is used for an initrd.
