* Package name    : hashalot
  Version         : 0.2.0
  Upstream Author : Ben Slusky <sluskyb@paranoiacs.org>
* URL             : http://www.stwing.org/~sluskyb/util-linux/
* License         : GPL v2
  Description : Reads passphrase, emits hash

This program will read a passphrase from standard input and print a binary
(not printable) hash to standard output. The output is suitable for use as
an encryption key.

The package also includes Christophe Saout <christophe@saout.de>'s
script to setup a crypto file system using device mapper, which is
the recommended (if not the only) way to do this with Linux 2.6.

An initial package is available in
http://smurf.noris.de/code/debian/unstable.
