   I hope so as well. I have been working on it for a month now, fixing
the build process, and it looks quite promising to me.

   Working on OpenCV is sponsored by my employer because we use the
library at work, so I am allowed to use my office computer for this
specific task (I temporarily no longer have a home computer, as
announced in -private some time ago).

   Of course I still have some time to work on my other packages, but
VLS is at low priority because upstream is almost dead and all the VLS
features are being reimplemented in VLC. But I will eventually do it.
