Prospect is used to gather a detailed statistical profile of all
processes running on a system. With this profile, you can determine
where your system, and more specifically, where within a particular
program you are spending the greatest amount of time or are using
the greatest amount of resources. Prospect does this by using the
oprofile kernel module. Prospect gathers this data with no intrusion and
without special build requirements being placed on the processes to be
  monitored.
