I'm not a Debian developer either, unfortunately, so I can't just upload it. Actually, I'm now realizing that I haven't really touched any NES-related software since I made this package, and I'm probably not suitable as a maintainer. I'm going to change my ITP bug into an RFP. > I was having trouble finding current info on nes emulators FCE > appers to be the only one undergoing development, thought I don't think it's as good as > tuxnes|nestra|ines. Has the licensing/redistributability of NES ROMs changed recently? Last I heard, all of the commercial NES games are copyrighted material, and cannot be legally redistributed. That makes them completely unsuitable for inclusion in Debian. > Here is a whishlist bug report. > tuxnes: failed to use -f when it knew it needed to /w raid-on-bb. > > #!/bin/sh > rom=/home/barbm/nes/nintendo/ninaddon/raid_on_bungling_bay.nes > # The above image has the following 7 bytes at offset 0x985 "factory". > > ggcodes="$ggcodes -g sxsiasvk" > ggcodes="$ggcodes -g sxvvpiax" > > exec tuxnes -mv -f $ggcodes $rom > # The above works just fine. I'm unfortunately not in any position to do anything about that bug. You should send that report to the TuxNES developers' mailing list; though it is almost always idle, I believe the core developers are still subscribed and responsive. HTH, - Keegan
