Well, that's not true anymore. I'm in direct contact with the
developer, and he has decided to go on with active Gnome Jabber
development a few weeks ago. At the moment the CVS version changes
very quickly and some new features are implemented as well.

I've just asked him to change it on the homepage so that there is no
doubt anymore.
