Bug#134546: tuxnes package: Do we need to get it some attention?
I just installed tuxnes with testing and I think it is ready for inclusion.
I was having trouble finding current info on nes emulators FCE<http://xodnizel.net/fceultra/>
appers to be the only one undergoing development, thought I don't think it's as good as
tuxnes|nestra|ines. I know there are some real nes freaks ought there, my roommate is one, I just
was having trouble hooking up. Do you know where I should look?
I would like to help make nes roms supported by debian, even get a database setup for things like
mirroring and genie codes. I was thinking about making an nesroms-common package to contain this
database. However not being a registered developer makes anything like this tough or worth while.
Here is a whishlist bug report.
tuxnes: failed to use -f when it knew it needed to /w raid-on-bb.
#!/bin/sh
rom=/home/barbm/nes/nintendo/ninaddon/raid_on_bungling_bay.nes
# The above image has the following 7 bytes at offset 0x985 "factory".
ggcodes="$ggcodes -g sxsiasvk"
ggcodes="$ggcodes -g sxvvpiax"
exec tuxnes -mv -f $ggcodes $rom
# The above works just fine.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
