I hate to say it but I won't be maintainer for Firebird 2.

My area of interest has changed *a lot* lately along with many
fundamental things in my life. I'd love to pacakage and maintain
firebird2 packages, especially now that fb2 is much more
builder-friendly ;-) But I just don't use it anymore and I don't
think I'll be in next year or so.

You may try to inform people at debian-devel ML so that they new that
FB2 is ready to be packaged. Maybe somebody will come up. I tried a few
months ago but nobody was interested.

BTW: I'd gladly give away FB1 packages too if somebody wanted them.

I am very sorry for disappointing you but I would be unhonest if
I claimed that I can be good FB2 maintainer.
