I hate to say it, but you may be right. :-) I'll have a look at
packaging ifplugd instead, probably not until the weekend though.

I got miid to a 'works for me' stage then forgot about it because, well,
it worked for me. It was only Nicolas prodding me recently that got me
back to packaging it properly...
With any luck, by next weekend, lintian/linda will no longer be in the
huff and debhelper will be substituting variables in correctly and I can
get it packaged (and update my other packages) without feeling like I'm
banging my head against a wall too, eh? :-)
