Description : A Secure IMAP server
Dovecot is an IMAP server. Security is the major goal of this project,
with reliability coming second. It should also be pretty fast, extensible,
and portable. It currently supports maildir and mbox formats.
However there are some caveats. According to the web page it is not yet
recommended for production use. mbox support is not yet fast or fully
reliable and doesn't allow messages to be deleted. And there still isn't
support for SSL,TLS, or CRAM-MD5. So I won't be doing any uploads until
things move a little further along. But if it turns out to be as good as
it looks, I'll dump uw-imap faster than one of Shailajas' stinky diapers.
