Bug#151472: RFP: netdump -- Dump kernel crash information over the network

Package: wnpp
Version: 0.6.6
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : netdump
  Version         : 0.6.6
  Upstream Author : Alexander Larsson <alexl@redhat.com>
* URL             : ftp://ftp.sunet.se:/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/redhat/linux/rawhide/SRPMS/SRPMS/netdump-0.6.6-3.src.rpm
* License         : GPL
  Description : Dump kernel crash information over the network

The netdump client sets up the kernel to send crash dumps and/or
console messages as syslog packets to a remote system. Some manual
setup is required as documented in the netdump (8) man page.

The netdump server listens to the network for crashed kernels to
contact it and then writes the oops log and a memory dump to
/var/crash before asking the crashed machine to reboot.

Notes to prospective packagers: I don't know of any official URL but
the source RPM can be grabbed from any Redhat mirror and converted to
a tar file using "alien -t".
