The design goal of fidoconfig was to provide one config-file for several
different fido software packages like editor, tosser etc.
An additional aim was to have one library (fidoconfig) which can be used by
all programs.
The advantage is you only have to edit one config-file, so changing your
system is much easier than with common software packages. Also bugs can only
creep in one library and not in thousands over thousands libraries.

It is required for the Husky-Project, a suite of fidonet applications,
which i will Package if this library and libsmapi (another ITP) is in Debian.

The Licence is GPL, but it depends on libsmapi which must go to non-free/* so
libfidoconf must go to contrib/*

Hi

Depends on smapi, a non-free Software with a bad licence.
Packages for the whole Husky Suite are available but they
wont go into Debian for now.
Look at http://husky.physcip.uni-stuttgart.de for more Infos about
Husky.
