Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

I intend to package lib-editline-java.

License: LGPL
URL: http://www.bablokb.de/java/readline.html with patches by myself

Description:

This will be based on the lib-readline-java sources but instead of linking
with the GPLed libreadline.so, it will link with libedit.so which has more
relaxed licensing; this will allow it to be used in projects of questionable
GPL-compatibility, such as jython.

The description for lib-readline-java is below:

Included is the Java package org.gnu.readline which provides GNU readline for
Java. Note that this is NOT a pure Java implementation; it is merely a JNI
wrapper for the standard system readline library.
