OpenNMS is an effort to build a fully distributed network management platform providing both enterprise and element management capabilities, using Java 2, C/C++, XML/XSL and other open source projects/tools such as RRDTool, Tomcat and Postgres.
Note: this depends by jdk 1.3 which will be in non-free, so this wil be in contrib section.
