Bug#123493: O: libpth -- The GNU Portable Threads
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
The current maintainer of libpth, ,
is apparently not active anymore[*]. Therefore, I orphan this package
now. If you want to be the new maintainer, please take it -- retitle
this bug from 'O:' to 'ITA:', fix the outstanding bugs and upload a
new version with your name in the Maintainer: field and a
* New maintainer (Closes: #thisbug)
in the changelog so this bug is closed.
Some information about this package:
Package: libpth
Binary: libpth-dev, libpth13-dbg, libpth13-prof, libpth13
Version: 1.3.7-3.1
Priority: optional
Section: devel
Description: The GNU Portable Threads
Pth is a very protable POSIX/ANSI-C based library for Unix
platforms which provides non-preemptive priority-based
scheduling for multiple threads of execution ("multithreading")
inside server applications. All threads run in the same address
space of the server application, but each thread has its own
individual program-counter, run-time stack, signal mask and
errno variable.
.
More information can be found at the libpth web site
http://www.gnu.org/software/pth/ .
[*] Justification: the maintainer currently has 17 open RC bugs (not
counting those fixed in NMUs). Several NMUs were done, at least two
packages (pwlib, usbview) have already been hihacked, the maintainer
does not respond to mails.
Justification why this particular package has been orphaned by me now:
no build-deps, cannot be built
