Bug#123514: O: awe -- Linux AWE32 MIDI stuff

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

The current maintainer of awe, Tom Lees <tom@lpsg.demon.co.uk>,
is apparently not active anymore[*]. Therefore, I orphan this package
now. If you want to be the new maintainer, please take it -- retitle
this bug from 'O:' to 'ITA:', fix the outstanding bugs and upload a
new version with your name in the Maintainer: field and a

   * New maintainer (Closes: #thisbug)

in the changelog so this bug is closed.

Some information about this package:

Package: awe
Binary: awe-netscape-libc6, libawe0.4, awe-netscape-libc5,
libawe0.4-dev, awe-drv, vkeybd, awe-midi
Version: 0.4.3.1-1.2
Priority: optional
Section: sound
Maintainer: Tom Lees <tom@lpsg.demon.co.uk>

Description: Linux AWE32 driver MIDI player
This is a program which will play MIDI files, either using a built-in
Tk-based interface, or from the console (in 'dumb' mode). It can also be used
in 'pipe' mode, so that another program can control the playback. This makes
a very flexible interface for adding AWE32 MIDI support to a program, or for
writing your own front end for this program.

[*] Justification: Several packages by him have been NMUed and some
packages (e.g. lvm, cvs) have been hijacked.
