Thanks a lot for the thumbs up.

So far I used the wine-development packaging and use it for wine-stable,
too (all packages for the upstream stable release get added a suffix
"-stable"). It seems I just have to omit some patches, otherwise it will
work fine.

Currently I can build -development and -stable on amd64 and get packages
with working alternatives :)

The only real blocker for now is to add Conflicts/Replaces and
transitional packages for wine --> wine-stable. I will do that probably
tomorrow.

With -stable I got more lintian warnings and even errors then for
-development. That's the 2nd next thing on my TODO.

Further the current packaging lacks the manpages. Those have to be
readded. Do you have something pending for this task, or should I look
into it?

Once the manpages are back again, I'll readd them to the alternatives
system.

Questions:

1.)
I guess it is ok to use the -development packaging for -stable, too. And
to rename wine-->wine-stable.
If not: please tell me ASAP!

2.)
Does anybody know whether this change (wine-->wine-stable) counts as an
transition and thus is subject to the freeze stage on September 5th:

3.)
wine-stable requires an separate git branch. Currently there are 2
branches: "jessie" based on 1.6.2-7, and "wine-1.6.2" containing
1.6.2-8. I couldn't check out the latter one, probably because the
branch name is the same as some tag. Can anybody tell me how to do that?
