Hi,

Thanks for looking into this.  Would you mind proposing your changes
upstream first?  I would much rather they review and maintain the
patch themselves, but if it looks like its going to take them a long
time, I'll probably go ahead and apply it.

The debian hurd porting guide seems to highly discourage hardcoding
PATH_MAX.  Please look into the dynamic implementation instead.
