Package: wine
Version: 1.4.1-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I cannot run anything using wine without a symlink /usr/local/lib/wine ->
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/wine.

There was once a locally compiled version but this has been removed. The
Debian packages are looking for libs in the local (now non-existant) folder.
The symlink enables wine to run, but there are other bugs around.

This is likely due to a wine installation outside the debian packaging.
