Easy now -- I'm not criticising the Cygwin installer, and maybe you're
right, and it will fit perfectly. I think what we're trying to say is we
don't want two install processes, and not knowing that the Cygwin setup
was readily customisable, writing a simple one from scratch seemed the
easiest.

dll, sets up the filesystem, and whatever else needs to be done and then
hand over to apt / dselect / whatever. (Disclaimer: sorry if this is
wrong, not seen the code and don't have time ATM)
