we discussed that earlier with the maintainer. The idea was that this
package shouldn't rely on the buildd's having an ip6-localhost line in
/etc/hosts. It should have been fixed in a later upload, but apparently
that didn't happen yet. (ISTR Aurélien said he would file an RC bug if
it didn't see an upload a few days after that, but he might have been
busy on other things.)

Nah, I'd prefer if you could file an RC bug about that, and fix it. ;)

Removing the ip6-localhost line from your /etc/hosts should be all you
need to reproduce it.
