Normally that would be sufficient. However, this does not work for packages that are part of the minimal build environment, since the minimal build environment is reused and is not automatically updated. When the build dependencies are resolved on the buildd, the gcc package is already installed as part of the minimal build environment, and even though the dep-wait ensures that a newer version is available for installation there is nothing that triggers its installation. Despite the dep-wait on gcc-4.7/4.7.0-12 the give-back on kfreebsd-amd64 was tried again with gcc-4.7/4.7.0-11 and failed. For packages that are part of the minimal build environment "dep-wait" is not the right solution. You need to use the --extra-depends option to trigger updates of packages that are part of the minimal build environment. Please try again - for both i386 and kfreebsd-amd64. Mattias
