believe that's what Ian means by "the upstream Git branch has to be in
your Git repo somewhere." In other words, you have to push upstream

your Salsa packaging repository to use tag2upload, but you don't have

merge it with your packaging branch.
Curiosity: Do we have any numbers how many packages on Salsa are
maintained with the full upstream git mirrored to salsa vs how many only
have debian/ there, and get the upstream source using other ways during
build? Or in other words: How much more source size will this put onto
Salsa, when everyone goes to have full source in their git?
Just curious, and not sure its easy to get those numbers.
