I agree that happens sometimes.
I agree that's even happened in Debian.
I really don't think it happened here.
Simon did not try to narrow the meaning of diversity.
He talked about why people might not want to use the word.
And (this is key), the *other side agreed*.
Listening to someone, hearing their concern and finding there's a way to
meet your needs and theirs that both sides are happy with is in my
opinion not hijacking.
