I have a bit of trouble parsing that last bit.  The "GPL" doesn't seem
to make sense to me grammatically.  (And "GPL license" is redundant.)
Maybe something like "... under the GNU GPL, the generic license of the
Linux kernel."  Or "... under the GNU GPL, the generic Linux kernel
license." if you prefer.
