This happened on -private, and public disclosure remains limited, but
I think it's appropriate to note that this is not an accurate
representation of what happened. Some individual developers attempted
to enforce their (frankly rather absurd) political views on
another. Despite those developers being extremely vocal about it, no
action was taken. Eventually the argument blew itself out, ending the
problem. The project remained as politically neutral as it always has.
