Well, no. That's not the only way to do things, and should in fact be the absolute *last resort*. The *best* way to do things is to convince people that what you're saying is beneficial, doesn't have any drawbacks (or, if it does, change what you're saying so as to avoid the drawbacks), or, in the absolute worst case, that the drawbacks are minor and outweighed by orders of magnitude by the benefits.
