I'm using volatile-sloppy.
I installed SA-3.1 since it was in volatile (it was moved to sloppy just
after). When I had to upgrade, i found usage informations in this list's
archive.
I think there could be somewhere info page about using volatile-sloppy:
% less /etc/apt/preferences
Package: spamassassin
Pin: release a=sarge-sloppy, version 3.1.0a*
Pin-Priority: 500
Package: spamc
Pin: release a=sarge-sloppy, version 3.1.0a*
Pin-Priority: 500
(maybe even version 3.1*)
